Services

I am an Adult General Urologist with services including:

I have a special Interest in OUTPATIENT Laser Surgery for enlarged prostates (BPH) and kidney/uteral stones.

Enlarged Prostate (BPH)

This condition, as everyone knows, is quite common in middle-aged and older men. It generally presents as a slow stream, frequent urination or getting up at night. Depending on the degree of symptoms, treatment is generally between any number of medications and/or multiple surgical procedures. I have extensive experiences with a variety of Same Day Laser procedures numbering in the thousands, including the Indigo, Holium, Greenlight, and Thulium Laser.

Kidney/Ureteral Stones

I have extensive experience with stones that will not pass and/or are symptomatic. These are generally treated with either a Shock Wave Lithostripsy (ESWL) or a ureteroscope with laser fragmentation and can also be done on an outpatient basis.

Vasectomy

I have performed thousands of these procedures, mostly in office under local anesthetic. A few are done under a general anesthetic in the hospital by patient preference, although it is more costly. I use the instruments of the “no-incision” vasectomy, but have found that making a small incision with a knife is less traumatic than tearing skin with the sharp hemostat. We generally take around 20-30 minutes in office for this procedure.

Female Incontinence

This  is another area of interest that we have been involved in for many years, and have performed  more than a  thousand surgeries. While there are many forms of treatment for female urinary incontinence,  variants of the SLING procedure are what we are most commonly performing for stress incontinence.  The technical name is TRANS-OBTURATOR SLING URETHROPEXY, which is the outpatient surgical procedure we most commonly use.

See our Educational links page for further details of these and other urologic conditions and their treatments.
